What you need to make tubes in your hood:
Thick latex (0.80 or 1.05mm)
Latex you've used for the hood to cut trims
(PVC) pipe (the pipe we use is 40mm heigh and 30mm diameter)
Synthetic hair
Glue
Scissor
Thinner
Video at the bottom of this writing :)
Step 1: Cut out of thick latex
A rectangle/square that is a couple of mm bigger than the heigh of the tube and the circumference of the tube (for us 42mmx100mm)
A reinforcement circle thats 2 cm bigger than the tube (for us 5 cm) Cut out the circumference of the inside of the tube.
Trim for top of the tube: 10mm width x circumference tube
Step 2: Cut out of thin latex
Latex trims of 12mm width in the color of your hood or contrasting color
Step 3: Glue the reinforcement circle on the inside of the mask to the place where you want the ponytail or pigtails to be. Cut the inside of this circle.
Step 4: Making the tube.
When the rectangle/square isn't the preferred color you can laminate it with the color you want (for our colored hoods we always laminate the 1.05mm thick rectangle/sqaure with the preferred color)
Use the 12mm latex trim to close the rectangle/square: put the edges together and stick the trim over it, fold over and stick also the inside of that seam.
Step 5: Trim on top of the tube.
Place the (PVC) pipe in the tube.
Glue the trim.
Glue the top of the tube.
Stick the trim on top of the tube and pull it a little harder. This tightens the top a bit, so that the (PVC) pipe stays in place later.
Step 6: Stick tube(s) on hood
Glue around the opening(s) on the hood.
Glue the bottom of the tube.
Glue the 12mm trim.
Stick tube on hood.
Pull on the trim while sticking it half on the tube and half on the hood.
Do the same on the inside of the hood/tube.
Now you have created tubes in your hood to insert different colored hairpieces.
Sorry I'v
